This EDRLab application is in constant development and aims at becoming a reference for accessing EPUB 3 publications in reflow or fixed layout format, audiobooks and visual narratives, PDF documents and DAISY 2.02 and 3 accessible ebooks; LCP protected or not.
This software is free, open-source and as such, its development is only possible because it is funded by different organizations. Among these, members of EDRLab, private or public grants and small recurring donations from happy users (individuals or companies).

EDRLab decided to build such an application and release it for free, in order to provide users a great way to enjoy on a large screen EPUB publications, comics / manga / bandes dessinées, audiobooks, LCP protected PDF documents.
In addition, because of the various content types that can be embedded in OCF ZIP Containerfiles, application/epub+zip may describe content that poses securityimplications beyond those noted here. However, only in cases where the processor recognizesand processes the additional content, or where further processing of that content isdispatched to other processors, would security issues potentially arise. The EPUB 3 specification supersedes both RFC 4839 and the Open ContainerFormat 2.0.1 specification, which is located at _library/epub/OCF_2.0.1_draft.doc, andwhich also uses the application/epub+zip media type.
Mantle is a desktop application for reading e-books of the EPUB format. It currently has a minimal user interface and is still early in development so is not yet feature complete.Mantle supports opening multiple books in tab view, and allows users to reflect the reading direction. Mantle is released under MIT license.
